LuvLap Galaxy Stroller: nine months of daily use

We used the LuvLap Galaxy as our everyday stroller for nine months. The brakes and harness held up — the one-hand fold did not, at least not at first.

LuvLap Galaxy Stroller

One of the best things you can buy for your baby is access to the world. From around six months, you can take them out and walk — and for us that daily walk became the fixed point of the day.

What we actually used it for

Park runs, market trips and the long loop around our block, most days, for nine months. This is not a stroller we tested for a week.

What held up

The five-point harness and the brakes are the two things that matter most, and both are still solid. The canopy is genuinely large — the extended double canopy with the peek-a-boo window earns its place on hot afternoons.

LuvLap lists the Galaxy as certified to European Standard EN 1888, with a three-position recline, adjustable footrest, detachable food tray and a reversible handlebar.

The thing nobody warns you about

The fold. It is advertised as a one-hand fold, and it is — once you know where to push. I watched a couple of videos beforehand and still struggled the first three times, in a car park, with a baby on one arm. Once it clicks you never forget it, but that first attempt was genuinely frustrating.

Would we buy it again

Yes. The fold is a one-week annoyance; the harness and brakes are a nine-month reassurance.
